In her capacity as Director of the Small Business Development and Management Institute (SBDMI) at Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO), Ms. Beaulieu is responsible through her office for providing high quality technical assistance through one-on-one counseling, decimation of business information through seminars/workshops, entrepreneurial training classes, outreach and support to small and emerging businesses in the greater New Orleans Community and the surrounding parishes. Through her off she is presently implementing a new imitative of establishing and operating a small business incubator that will house and provide technical assistance to small businesses in this community.
Cynthia Beaulieu has extensive experience in successfully managing several non-profit organizations and also served in management positions with several Fortune 500 companies. She has conducted many professional business workshops and seminars, one on-one counseling for small business owners and is certified to teach the NxLevel Entrepreneurial Training classes. She has served as Business Advisor with the Small Business Development Center for many years. In addition she possesses a wealth of business knowledge and experience. Ms. Beaulieu has worked with small business in this community for the past 20 years. She is the host and producer of a cable access television show that highlights the accomplishment of women business owners in the community. Ms. Beaulieu holds a B.S. Degree in Economics with a minor in Business Administration from Xavier University in New Orleans.
